JOWA 3SEP OWS

The JOWA 3SEP OWS is a dual stage oily bilge water separation system utilizing differential specific gravity, coalescence plates and filtration to separate and remove free and emulsified oil. The system is designed as a skid assembly with all connection points collected for easy installation. To eliminate corrosion problems the tanks are made of stainless steel, AISI 316L.. 15 ppm type approved in accordance with IMO MEPC 107(49) & DNV GL Class Programme DNVGL-CP-0208-Type Approval. Approved for 5 ppm (DNV TAP 771.60).

The JOWA SEAGUARD 15ppm Bilge alarm is designed to monitor the effluent from a bilge water separator. The alarm is approved to IMO MEPC 107(49).

JOWA Emulsion Breaking Unit (EBU)

The JOWA Emulsion Breaking Unit is designed to break apart water in oily water emulsions. The unit separates up to 80% of the water in the emulsion. The treated water is then fed to an IMO MEPC 107(49) approved filter type/bilge water separator such as the JOWA 3SEP. Use of the JOWA EBU combined with the JOWA 3SEP can reduce oil discharge levels to 2PPM or less.

JOWA ODME 2005

The JOWA ODME 2005 Oil Discharge Monitor is approved as a “third generation” monitor, based on IMO resolution MEPC 108(49). It is easy to operate and has a menu that is self-explanatory. The equipment is robust and easy to install and maintain. Its unique self-cleaning feature makes manual cleaning virtually unnecessary. The high quality JOWA ODME is designed to last many years, even in rough environments.

Treatment of drinking water with silver is a very old method and is used in many parts of the world. This method goes back to the ancient Egyptians and beyond. Dosing water with Silver ions kills off bacteria, germs and algae, and controls their regrowth within the water storage and distribution system. Since its introduction in 1970 thousands of ships have installed JOWA’s Ag-S due to its simple design, high quality, and long service life.

JOWA HYDROPHORE AND CALORIFIER

A wide variety of units are available for ship and offshore use. Pressure vessels, circulation pumps and other equipment can be provided separately or as a complete, ready-mounted unit with control cabinet piping and valves. The tanks are made of stainless steel 316L. A variety of standard sizes from 100L to 2000L are available. Our products come with a control cabinet, heating elements and thermostats. Alternative heating sources like steam or hot water and circulation or pressure boosting pumps can also be provided.

JOWA UV Sterilizer

The JOWA UV is equipped with low pressure UV-lamps, powered by electronic high frequency ballasts, for highest efficiency and lowest power consumption. The sterilization process is microprocessor-controlled via data from the UV-sensor. The intelligent lamp monitoring system will, in case of any lamp failure, inform the user of this occurrence as well as the location of the broken lamp. The hour meter tells the user to change lamps when 80% lamp Life-time is is reached. All necessary data is available in a display window on the control cabinet.

JOWA STP 2016 – Sewage Treatment Plant

The JOWA STP 2016 Sewage Treatment plants are available in a range of sizes from 15 – 100 persons. Sizes outside the range are available upon request and is approved for operation onboard ships in accordance with IMO MEPC 227(64) and meet all the requirements in Marpol 73/78 annex IV.

Fuel Handling

JOWA Homogenizer

Part of the JOWA Fuel Management System, the Homogenizer reduces larger asphalt particles to less than 5 μm so they can be evenly blended and homogenized in the fuel without affecting fuel components prior to injection and combustion. The homogenizer efficiently treats incompatible fuel components and avoids instability or incompatibility problems during change over procedures prior to injection. The result is that the entire energy content in the fuel can be utilized, which makes for better economy.

PES protects the exposed propeller and the shaft bearings against spark erosion damages.
